These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Cyber Synap Score and its related website, application, assessments, reports, recommendations, and services (the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Purpose of the Service

Cyber Synap Score is an educational and risk-awareness tool designed to help users better understand, improve, and track aspects of their personal cybersecurity posture.

The Service may provide cybersecurity scores, domain scores, Assessment Confidence, recommendations, Current Security Posture, Potential Score, achievements, and other guidance based primarily on information supplied by the user.

Cyber Synap Score is not a substitute for professional cybersecurity services, incident response, legal advice, financial advice, or other professional advice.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Providing information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• Protecting access to your email and devices
• Deciding whether and how to implement recommendations provided by Cyber Synap Score
• Seeking professional assistance when your circumstances require it

You must not submit passwords, MFA codes, recovery codes, private keys, security-question answers, or similar authentication secrets through the assessment.

No Guarantee of Security

Cybersecurity risk cannot be completely eliminated.

Cyber Synap Score does not guarantee that following recommendations, obtaining a particular score, or achieving a Current Security Posture of 100 will prevent:

• Cyberattacks
• Account compromise
• Identity theft
• Data breaches
• Malware
• Fraud
• Financial loss
• Business interruption
• Reputational harm
• Data loss

A Cyber Synap Score of 100 represents the strongest assessed posture under the controls and methodology currently evaluated by the Service. It does not mean that a person, device, account, or organization is immune from cybersecurity threats.

Self-Reported Information

Cyber Synap Score relies primarily on information provided by the user.

The Service does not independently verify every account, device, security setting, or cybersecurity control.

Assessment Confidence is intended to communicate the quality, specificity, and consistency of the information supporting an assessment. It is not proof that the information is true and does not represent a probability that a user will or will not experience a cybersecurity incident.

Recommendations

Recommendations are provided for general educational and risk-reduction purposes.

Users remain responsible for evaluating whether a recommendation is appropriate for their particular devices, accounts, business activities, or circumstances.

Cyber Synap Score is not responsible for losses resulting from incorrectly implemented security changes, third-party service failures, account lockouts, device problems, or other consequences of actions taken based on recommendations.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity performed through your account.

You may not attempt to access another user's account, assessment, report, payment entitlement, or other private information without authorization.

We may suspend or terminate accounts used for fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, interference with the Service, or violations of these Terms.

Purchases and Paid Features

Certain reports, recommendations, or features may require payment.

• Payments are processed through third-party payment providers, currently Stripe.
• Prices and included features will be displayed before purchase.
• By completing a purchase, you authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the payment method you provide.
• Access to purchased digital features may be granted immediately following successful payment.
• Refunds are governed by the Cyber Synap Score Refund Policy.

Availability and Changes

We may modify, improve, discontinue, or replace portions of the Service at any time.

Cybersecurity practices and threats evolve, and Cyber Synap Score may update its assessment questions, scoring models, recommendations, terminology, or methodology over time.

Historical assessments may therefore have been generated using different scoring models.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the Service.

Third-Party Services

Cyber Synap Score may rely on or link to third-party services.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, policies, or actions of independent third-party services.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We make no warranty that the Service will detect every vulnerability, prevent every attack, identify every cybersecurity risk, or remain uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cyber Synap Score and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service.

This includes, without limitation, loss of data, revenue, profits, business opportunities, accounts, reputation, or access to digital services.

Where applicable law does not allow certain limitations, those limitations will apply only to the extent legally permitted.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The Effective Date will be updated when changes are made.

Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
